A crisis includes, but is not limited to:

• Serious injury, illness, or fatality on-site
• Structural collapse or major system failure
• Natural disasters (e.g., fire, flood, storm)
• Security incidents or robbery
• OSHA inspections or citations
• Scandals, legal threats, union disruptions

Communication Hierarchy:

1. Notify direct supervisor, project manager, or superintendent
2. Contact Nichols Office immediately

• Stay calm & secure the area
• Ensure medical care or emergency services are engaged
• Prevent further harm or hazard (barricade if necessary)
• Preserve the scene for investigation
• Notify Nichols office & leadership immediately
• Direct all media inquiries to designated spokesperson only
